Custom Instructions

Learn how to give specific instructions to your Employees.

Custom Instructions are special directions you can give to an Employee or a whole Team to make sure they complete a Project exactly the way you want.

When to Use Custom Instructions

You can use instructions to define:

  • A specific tone or style: "Write in a friendly and funny tone."
  • A point of view: "Write this from the perspective of a dog."
  • Specific constraints: "The final text must be exactly 100 words."
  • Context: "This is for a school project about space."

How to Write Good Instructions

The best instructions are simple and clear.

"Please write a 4-line poem about the moon. The tone should be mysterious and magical. The first and third lines should rhyme."

This is great because it's specific about the length, topic, tone, and a special rule (rhyming).

Where to Add Instructions

You can add instructions in two places:

  1. When you create a Team: You can give a Team permanent instructions that they will always follow.
  2. When you create a Project: You can give specific instructions just for that one task.

Giving clear instructions is the best way to get amazing results from your AI Employees.
